In the summer of 2025, the University Heights Community Association’s Beautification Team put out a call to artists to paint utility boxes across their neighborhood. 

Mine is on the corner of Park Blvd and Meade Ave, in front of the Winslow apartments and across from Pop Pie & Stella Jean’s. Atop a colorful checkerboard background are sweet treats and cheeky phrases that act as a tribute to cafes as community spaces and serve as a reminder to take care of yourself and each other.
